It’s been a good week thanks to my #onplanoctober drive – and without further ado I’ll get the statty stuff out of the way first of all.
I have other news, but that will have to wait for a minute. I do rather like my facts and figures currently!
Friday totals
- 40g rolled oats 148 (HE)
- 250g natural yogurt 154
- 100g blueberries 43
- Banana 90
- 125g chicken slices 145
- 2 x apples 142
- 400g Chicken diced chicken 480
- Large courgette 54
- 300g baking potato 231
- Small onion 30
- 380g mushrooms 80
- Tub of cottage cheese with onion and chive 176
- 370g (jar) pickled gherkins 114
This means I consumed a total of 1887 kcal for yesterday – which works out to a 1859 5 day average.
No syns were consumed yesterday to make up for my ‘bendy Bob’ day on Thursday.
My Active/ Total calories burned were 1254/3927 (which results in a 3999.4 5 day average)
I did 97 minutes cardio and my steps/miles walked came to 19744/9.8, meaning that yesterday was a good one – but it pales to insignificance compared to today.
If I had to describe how I feel now, at this exact moment in time in one word it would be ‘fulfilled’.
Back in January 2016 it felt like I’d never get to where I wanted to be in life. The mountain that I had to climb seemed so huge and on the way there seemed to be obstacle after obstacle.
In particular – there was a river.
The Rubicon.
Waiting to be crossed.
This metaphorical body of water represented what I consider to be the biggest achievement so far of my entire life.
I can now proudly say that not only am I finally back on track and re-focused but mentally I’m on fire.
It’s taken me since April of 2016 until now to achieve but today marks the point where I finally weighed less than the amount of weight that I’d lost.
I now weigh seventeen stone three pounds and have lost seventeen stone five and a half pounds.
Since Slimming World have no certificate or sticker to mark this occasion (at the risk of infringing copyright) I had to make my own.
I’m now a ‘Club 50’ member. Fifty percent of me is completely gone.
So it’s a short one today – but despite the unusually petite nature of my post it’s going to be one of my all time favourites. Moments like this come along once in a lifetime and I’m savouring today spending time with family and friends.
I’m walking with them, because I can.
I’m sitting in booths in coffee shops with them, because I can.
I’m seeing lots of people today, because I can.
I’m doing everything I want, because I worked for it and because I can.
Please acccept a hug internet. I feel awesome and I want you all to share in it.
Davey
